Krispy Kreme is Here for the Grads of 2020!
Krispy Kreme honors the Class of 2020 during this time of hardship with their new “Graduate Dozen.”
On May 19, Krispy Kreme was giving away dozens of free doughnuts, the “Graduate Dozens,” to high school or college seniors. The only requirement to receive these treats was to wear class apparel or a graduation cap and gown with a 2020 tassel.
The doughnuts are arranged in three rows of four: each row reads “2020.” The number 2 is written on donuts without holes, and doughnuts with holes are used as zeroes. Krispy Kreme offers Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled, Cake Batter Filled, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, and Yellow Iced Original Glazed Doughnuts.
Dave Skena, the Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme, shared that the franchise feels “for all of the high school and college seniors. We wish they had the moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma. We can’t replace that… but we thought we could help them safely have a little fun and enjoy a special “‘Graduate Dozen’” on us.”
Graduates from Troy, Michigan waited in the drive-thru for several hours just to get the free donuts. Even though the students had to wait for so long, surprisingly, most of them said that it was worth it.
For those who missed the free “Graduate Dozens,” Krispy Kreme is still offering the decorated doughnuts for a purchase of $19 online, drive-thru, or pickup. However, the deal ends soon. According to Krispy Kreme’s Twitter, the deal will end on “5/24 while supplies last each day.”
This Saturday, May 23, Krispy Kreme is closing off the school year with a sweet deal: two dozen doughnuts for the price of $13. A typical dozen of doughnuts would cost from $7.99 to $11.39. To redeem this promotional price, all you have to do is present this barcode (in the link below) to participating locations: https://www.krispykreme.com/promos/memorialday
